Designed as a solution focused working day rather than a traditional conference, the event aims to address the most pressing challenges facing the UK opera ecosystem. We will be working on 3 core themes - New Work, Economic Resilience, and Sector Standards.
- New Work & Innovation: Presentation of the interim findings from the UKOA’s comprehensive New Work Research Project, which combines programming trends and commissioning data over the last three years with in-depth interviews and discussions with practitioners, producers, and commissioners.
- Economic Resilience: Innovative sessions on co-productions, revenue diversification, and a Finance Lab workshop focusing on corporate sponsorship for small and mid-scale projects.
- Sector Standards: Robust discussions regarding contracting, scheduling, and addressing professional conduct standards.
